Book chapter by Maria Ketzmerick published
15.09.2022

The book "Non-Western Global Theories of International Relations" has been published recently, to which Dr. Maria Ketzmerick contributed a chapter together with Dr. Tareq Sydiq (University of Marburg). It is titled "Decentralizing Europe: Harnessing Alternative Theories of IR" and asks whether decidedly non-Western theories about world order, interrelations, and mobilities exist, and if so, what their commonalities and differences are. It focusses on how non-Western theory changes the perception of the world order and presents it differently, and outlines the potentials of non-Western thinking and theory. Through a comparative lens, it discusses differences, challenges and self-positioning of such theories.
