Introducing our new colleagues: Dr. Adam Sandor & Büşra Üner

We are very happy to have Dr. Adam Sandor on board since summer! Dr. Sandor is a postdoctoral research associate in the Postcolonial Hierarchies in Peace and Conflict project.
He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. His research focuses on non-traditional security threats such as terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering, and violent extremism in Africa. For the past three years, Dr. Sandor has worked as the Research Director of Adam Smith International, supporting the stabilization activities of the United Kingdom's Conflict, Security and Stability Fund.

We are also happy to welcome Büşra Üner as a new member at our chair as a PhD candidate and research assistant!
She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degree at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. Her research focuses on environmental justice, social movements, mining conflicts, corporate responsibility, and gender. Her dissertation at the University of Bayreuth will be a comparative study of women's movements in Africa and Turkey and their international networking. She will also support our chair in teaching during the semester.
