At the VAD Conference 2024, Professor Dr. Jana Hönke and Professor Dr. Andrea Behrends co-presented their  new books, „Africa’s Global Infrastructures: South-South Transformations in Practice“ and „Lifeworlds in Crisis: Making Refugees in the Chad-Sudan Borderlands“ respectively. Both publications are part of the African Arguments Series for the International African Institute, published with Hurst.

 „Africa’s Global Infrastructures“ was published this 2024 and is co-edited by Professor Dr. Jana Hönke (University of Bayreuth), Dr. Eric Cezne (Utrecht University), PhD (c) Mia Yifan Yang (University of Bayreuth). The various chapters  explore the developmental ideas, processes and techniques stemming from Global South-led projects that have shaped and emerged from African contexts.
