Juliet Gudhlanga is a Ph.D. candidate in Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jana Hönke. Her research interests encompass women’s livelihoods, extractive injustices, feminist organizing, epistemic erasure and transformative storytelling. Her work primarily investigates the nuanced political responses of women to gold mining in Africa highlighting women’s voices and participation in African gold societies. Additionally, she explores the intersections of these issues with gender and socio-political inequalities in Africa and globally.
