Our research
- contributes to the development of Global Political Sociology, with a focus on Africa.
- develops theoretical and methodological innovations at the intersection of Global Political Sociology, International Relations/Political Science and African Studies
- is part of the Cluster of Excellence Africa Multiple and the Conflict, Crisis, and Change (C³) Research Center (see also our peace and conflict research projects HIERARCHIES and Conflicts.Meanings.Transitions).
- involves international collaboration on the ERC-project "Africa's Infrastructure Globalities (INFRAGLOB), with focus on China and Brazil.
